Turbulence is ever produced in the low-viscosity/large-scale fluid flows by velocity shears and, unstable stratification, buoyancy forces. It commonly believed that both mechanisms produce same type of chaotic motions, namely, eddies breaking down into smaller ones and producing direct cascade turbulent kinetic energy other properties from large to small scales towards viscous dissipation. The conventional theory based on this vision yields a plausible picture vertical mixing remains use since middle 20th century spite increasing evidence fallacy almost all predictions. This paper reveals fact produces plumes, merging larger an inverse their conversion self-organized regular motions.
